Whitehorse Manningham Libraries provides a range of opportunities for students looking to contribute to their community and gain some valuable work experience. Places are extremely limited and priority is given to students living and studying in either the City of Manningham or City of Whitehorse. Work Experience
There are a limited number of work experience places at Whitehorse Manningham Libraries.
Due to high demand, applications for work experience placements for 2024 are now CLOSED.

The online application form must be read through and completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Preference will be given to students that live and go to school within our council areas of Whitehorse and Manningham.
- Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview at one of our branches and may be offered a placement via email based on a positive interview.
- All students attending interviews will be informed of the outcome via email.
- Work experience placements will be one week in duration Monday to Friday.
- Work Experience Arrangement Forms will be provided to the successful applicant.
- The completed and signed form must be returned to Whitehorse Manningham Libraries administration within 14 days of the offer.
Community Service
There are a limited number of community service placements. All placements must be affiliated with an educational institution or a recognised charity program. Applications are now CLOSED for 2024 placements.
Tertiary Placements
Industry placements are available to students studying at University or TAFE. Preference is given to students who are completing library studies. Applications are now CLOSED for 2024 placements.
Structured Workplace Learning (SWL)
Whitehorse Manningham Libraries works in partnership with Gateway LLEN to provide placements for students. For further information please go to their website.
